Pulp Cafe Disrupting the Vegan Stereotype
In a town where burgers and meat plates dominate the menus of most restaurants, Pulp Café & Juice Bar in Frenchtown, NJ is disrupting the market by catering to the health conscious eater. Offering organic, gluten free, vegetarian & vegan options that are not only nutritious but surprisingly to the cafe’s omnivorous patrons also delicious.
New business owners Cody Hofstetter, Lori Hofstetter and Melvyn Threatt-Peters announced the relaunch for Saturday, July 30th, just three weeks after becoming firsttime restaurant owners. The reopening is set to welcome new management, the local community of foodies and perhaps even a meat eating crowd that didn’t believe plant-based and tasty could be synonymous.
The cafe will also be offering an updated seasonal menu with higher standards for organic and locally sourced products in addition to their new selection of juices and smoothies.
“We want to focus on supporting local ecology and providing
delicious, healthy food while maintaining the lowest environmental
says co-owner, Cody Hofstetter.
The company ethos is indeed parlayed by their locallysourced ingredients; lavender from Mad Lavender Farms in Frenchtown, specialty vinegar from gourmet pantry Olive with a Twist a few doors down also in Frenchtown, honey from Tassot Apiaries in Milford and many others!
Pulp’s kitchen is led by Head Day Chef Don Gray, who is overseeing a menu that includes awardwinning black bean burgers, homestyle huevos rancheros, roasted seasonal vegetable quinoa bowls, in addition to daily vegan dessert specials and mouthwatering lavender ice cream.
Pulp’s hours are just like the seasons, shorter in the winter and longer in the summer. Hours can be found on the bottom of the page.
All menu items are available for takeout.
